P Polodomia de Leros is the island’s urban planning service located in the clock building in Lakki. Director Mr. Filippidis was replaced at the beginning of 2025 by Mrs. Kourepinis. She is an architect by training and therefore does not have the required civil engineer skills that would be necessary. She heads the service but is all alone to manage all the urban planning files of the island.

This is the final step of your building permit, finally exactly of the building authorisation. The electronic file will be opened which corresponds to the pre-approval. The architectural opinion of Kalymnos, the opinion of the antiquities service (archaeology) according to the classification of your land, are inserted into it.

The Polodomia de Leros will mainly check the electrical circuits and fluids to grant you the final permit. From that moment you have 5 years to build and important precision to close your building permit by making the house conform to the plans of your civil engineer therefore legal. After this deadline, your building license is obsolete and you will have to redo plans and resubmit your elements to the different actors.
